Guido Gasparri
Dear Colleagues,
on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 14th Conference of the European Society of Surgery (ESS) and the European and Italian Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) we would like to extend a warm welcome to Turin the 25,26 and 27 November 2010.
Turin is a wonderful location for the Congress. It was the first capital of Italy, and is full of historical monuments, and museums. It is close to the mountains, very well known for the Olympic games in 2006, and renown all over the world for its car factories (Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo). The hospitality is warm and the excellent food and wine are very well known.
These Congresses will be held in “Torino Incontra” located in the centre of the city, close to piazza Castello, piazza San Carlo, and Via Roma, all nice places for shopping, dining, walking, and visiting places of great interest (Palazzo Carignano, Palazzo Madama, Egyptian Museum, Cinema museum). Not far away from the centre there are a lot of interesting places, for instance the “Reggia di Venaria, Stupinigi and Valentino Castles, and the Basilica di Superga”.
The program of the Clinical Congresses is arranged into a number of thematic tracks covering all the surgical fields, especially live confrontation of surgical techniques in Eastern and Western Europe, mostly using video presentation.
The Named Lectures and Panel Presentations address contemporary topics focusing on surgical innovations.
Selected paper sessions will be held giving the opportunity to younger surgeons to present their experiences in the main hall in front of senior surgeons as discussants.
The Chairmen of the ESS Conference, Alfonso Barbarisi and Guido Gasparri and the Chairmen of the ACS Congress, Lucio Gaspari and Antonio Mussa would like to invite you to participate in these European Congresses, and to enjoy the scientific meetings and the social events.
